MUSCAT: The Government Communication Centre (GC) on Sunday clarified about the decision taken by the Supreme Committee in April to reduce the visa renewal fee for expat workers from OMR 301 to OMR 201.
GC clarified that the reduction in fees is applied to the following categories:
- Institutions and companies with a national workforce regardless of the number of Omanis.
- Owners of SMEs as a full-time job who are registered with the Public Authority for Social Insurance as employers.
The Supreme Committee took the decision on April 15 as part of providing relief to private sector companies in the wake of coronavirus crisis
