Omantel CEO hosts the leaders of the ‘Ruwad Alizz’ Program

Muscat: As part of the Ruwad Alizz Leadership Programme, the delagates of batch IV of the programme recently conducted a visit to the Omantel head office where Mr. Talal Al Maamari, the CEO of Omantel in the presence of Mr. Ali Al Mani, CEO of Alizz Islamic Bank welcomed them and conducted a keynote session highlighting his career journey, the biggest challenges facing leaders today, and the importance of continuous innovaton. The candidates were then given a comprehensive tour of the companys key facilities such as the innovation labs, smart shop, museum and more.

The ‘Ruwad Alizz’ programme is a comprehensive leadership development journey that spans various stages of study. Initially, employees engage with Harvard University, accessing educational online materials. As part of the programme, participants conduct independent research on a specific leadership topic and experience a comprehensive and accelerated development journey. The programme facilitates assimilation of diverse experiences and leadership styles throughout the 6 months course

Touching upon the recent visit Mr. Ghalib Al Kharusi, Head of Human Capital at Alizz Islamic Bank said “It was a pleasure to be hosted by Omantel and tour their Head Office. The candidates were all fascinated by the use of technology and the logistical processes by various departments. One of the biggest takeaways for the participants was how reciprocal the relationship is in Omantel between innovation and customer service.”

We reiterate the bank’s dedication to this by equipping talented Omanis with suitable opportunities for innovation and sustainable growth and visits such as this provided a unique opportunity for participants to learn from diverse leadership styles and organisational experiences, which is essential for future success.”

Alizz Islamic Bank continuously strives to develop the future leaders of Oman; placing great importance on education, training and development, empowering future leaders and equipping them with the skills and capabilities needed to contribute their creative potential towards serving their communities. Ruwad Alizz Programme is designed to empower and develop 40 employees annually, 20 from Alizz Islamic Bank and 20 from other esteemed Government & Private Sector institutions as part of the Bank’s strategic direction and sustainability drive. The program entails six consecutive months of dedicated study, with the first, second and third batches having already more than 90 successful Ruwad Alizz graduates.
