MUSCAT : The wind activity will affect most governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, bringing several weather impacts across the country.
The department warns of rising sea waves along the coasts of Musandam Governorate and the Sea of Oman, with maximum wave heights reaching up to 2 meters starting on Tuesday. The waves are expected to be moderate to rough in these areas.
Starting Wednesday, the Arabian Sea coastline will experience higher waves, with heights potentially reaching up to 3 meters.
In addition to the rough seas, the Oman Meteorology department predicts increased dust and sand activity, especially in desert and open areas, which could lead to a reduction in horizontal visibility.
The winds will also bring a noticeable drop in temperatures across the region, impacting daily weather conditions for several days.
