Five members elected to Indian schools board in Oman

The winners of the election to the Board of Directors (BoD) of Indian Schools in Oman was announced on Saturday.

MUSCAT: Indian Schools in Oman will have new members after parents voted five candidates to the Indian schools’ Board of Directors (BoD) on Saturday.

Hundreds of parents flocked to polling station at Indian Schools Muscat until 5pm on Saturday to cast their votes and shape the future of over 46,000 students enrolled in 21 Indian Schools in the country.

The five elected on Saturday Shameer P.T.K (597 votes), Damodar R Katti (550 votes), Syed Ahmad Salman (496 votes), Krishnendhu S (440 votes), and Nidheesh Kumar PP (430 votes). There were eight people in the fray for the five-member posts of the Board of Directors of Indian Schools.
