RIYADH : The contract, valued at over RO 11.5 million (US$ 30 million), was signed on the sidelines of its participation in the ‘Future Mining Conference’ in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The contracts include the supply of latest crushing, grinding and flotation equipment, including main grinding equipment, mechanical flotation equipment, and high-efficiency concentrators for the copper concentration and processing plant as part of the company’s efforts to develop its ambitious project to extract and concentrate copper ore from its mines in Yanqul.

The Mazoon Copper Project is the largest integrated copper concentrate project in the Sultanate of Oman, covering approximately 20 square kilometres and comprising five open pit mines with reserves of up to 22.9 million tonnes of copper ore.
The project also includes a 56,000 square meter ore processing plant, with a processing capacity of up to 2.5 million tons per year, and a production capacity of 115,000 tons per year of copper concentrates with a purity of up to 21.5 percent.
The project focuses on applying environmental sustainability techniques to ensure the highest standards of operational management in these mines, in addition to enhancing local content and supporting social and economic development in Yanqul Wilayat in Al Dhahirah Governorate.
