Muscat: This marks the start of an eight-week intensive Arabic Language Teachers Preparation Course, aimed at fostering global cultural exchange and linguistic proficiency.
The participants, hailing from nations including the UK, Russia, South Korea, and El Salvador, experienced an engaging introductory day. They were welcomed by faculty, administrators, and cultural program supervisors, followed by a tour of the institute’s state-of-the-art facilities. A visual presentation highlighted Oman’s rich civilization, culture, and people, equipping students with tips to immerse themselves in the local community during their stay.
In addition to Arabic language lessons totalling 160 hours, the program offers a wide array of activities, including calligraphy, art courses, cultural evenings, and educational trips to Oman’s historical and natural sites. Teachers will engage in a comprehensive four-week module on second language acquisition theories, teaching strategies, and curriculum design, alongside applied teaching sessions and field visits.
