MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday expressed great satisfaction and contentment with the constructive dialogue and consultations that he held with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
His Majesty’s statement comes after Oman signed 10 important agreements with Turkey.
“Our relations are a vital model for fruitful cooperation. Turkish companies have played a leading role in supporting infrastructure and development projects in the Sultanate of Oman. Omani investments in Turkey reflect our firm confidence in the strength of the Turkish economy and in the constructive ties that unite the economies of the two countries,” His Majesty said.

“We have directed the members of the Omani government to continue working diligently with their counterparts on the Turkish side and to give the necessary priority to vital areas of cooperation, hoping to increase the volume of trade exchange and encourage the establishment of joint investment projects through the joint investment fund that was launched today in a number of strategic sectors, especially in industries related to renewable energy and defense industries, and cooperation between our educational institutions to develop research and innovation in the fields of technology, health care, food security and other projects. We also emphasize the importance of continuing cultural cooperation to contribute to enriching knowledge and cultural convergence between peoples,” he noted.
“Our two countries share a firm commitment to supporting peace and stability efforts, and we value the efforts being made to enhance regional cooperation, expressing our great appreciation for the Turkish positions on the pivotal issues affecting our region, as we continue to adhere to the constants to achieve a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution, and we are confident in Türkiye’s strong support for this legitimate goal to achieve justice and peace for all” His Majesty said.
His Majesty also invited the Turkish President to visit Oman which could further enhance the deep-rooted historical ties between both the countries.
