MUSCAT: After learning the living conditions of an elderly citizen in Wilayat Samayil, Ministry of Housing informed on Wednesday that it will help the Omani family in building a house soon.
The explanation from the Ministry comes after a video circulated showing the condition of the citizen, who has hearing and mobility-related disabilities, living in a dilapidated house along with his wife and children.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Ministry said: “The citizen’s request is included in the housing assistance cases approved for this year and will be implemented soon. The Ministry received the application from the citizen for housing assistance in April 2011.”
