Over the last few weeks, Oman has seen a significant rise in coronavirus cases. Nearly 45,000 cases were registered in three weeks. The total Covid-19 cases in the country has touched 48,997.
“The committee has followed with great concern the escalating numbers of infections and deaths in the various governorates of the Sultanate during the past days as a result of this disease, and expresses its deep dissatisfaction with the lack of commitment of many to the precautionary controls set by the competent authorities to prevent its spread among the community, which contributed to the transmission of infection to their families, relatives, and colleagues in the workplace, in addition to the rest of the individuals in various communities,” the Supreme Committee said in a statement.
