MUSCAT:
Indian Embassy has warned travel agents and organisations in the country against collecting information from Indian nationals wishing to return home in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, embassy has confirmed that it did not authorize “any travel agency or organizations” to gather information.

“It has been brought to our notice that certain travel agencies and organizations are collecting information from Indian nationals wanting to return to India claiming to have Embassy’s approval to do so. Embassy has not authorized any travel agency or organization to gather any such information,” the embassy said.

“All those interested in travelling to India may register on the Embassy’s website. The shortlisted passengers will be contacted by Air India for booking tickets,” the statement added.

The fifth repatriation flight from Muscat will take-off on Wednesday to Bangalore.
