MUSCAT: As the whole world is reeling under the scare of coronavirus outbreak, a group of men came together to conduct the last rites of an Indian man, who died in Oman due to coronavirus (Covid-19).
As his relatives and friends chose to stay away due to the fear of virus, Suhail Khan, Executive Member of Indian Social Club (ISC) and his team set an example of brotherhood and communal harmony. Suhail along with Sanjit Kanojia of Awadhi Wing of ISC helped in coordinating, while their friends Jaffery, Obaidi and Tamim did the last rites for the deceased.
The incident is being cited as an excellent example of unity between communities in Oman and the way people are coming forward to help each other in these times of distress.

“We cremated his body with full Hindu rites in Sohar. These are tough times and under these unprecedented conditions, it’s difficult for people to come out and be part of it. I would like to thank our team for their whole hearted support,” Khan added.
