MUSCAT: A bakery was closed in Muttrah for not fulfilling health requirements, the Muscat Municipality has clarified on Sunday. The municipality also denied social media rumours that an expat employee in the bakery was infected with coronavirus.
In a statement issued, Municipality said there is “no truth to what is being circulated” on social media. “The food control department has closed one of the bakery for violating the health measures. There is no truth about what is being circulated on social media that an expat worker in the bakery was infected with the coronavirus. “
Municipality, meanwhile, has intensified its inspection campaigns in commercial centres, restaurants and cafes to ensure health measures are followed.
