MUSCAT: Oman Air has suspended its flights to Pakistan until further notice, the airline informed on Wednesday.
In a statement issued online, Oman Air said the flights to Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore has been suspended until further notice. “Oman Air regrets to inform its esteemed guests on the suspension of its flights to Pakistan,” the statement said. On Wednesday morning, Pakistan decided to close its airspace and will divert all incoming flights until further notice. The move comes in the wake of reported military strikes by India’s Air Force on Pakistani soil.
“As notified by Pakistah Civil Aviation Authority, since Pakistan airspace is closed for commercial airliners,” the statement from Oman Air said.
