MUSCAT: As companies across the globe including those in Oman are fighting to continue business amidst coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, Pankaj Khimji, Director of Khimji Ramdas Group, says companies need to build greater resilience to sustain the pandemic.
“The coronavirus pandemic is changing the world as we know it. We have never seen this happen ever before. We never expected this to happen either. I think these are times when we need to look at how best we can do business. We need to be resilient,” Pankaj said while speaking at the OER-BLME webinar titled ‘Tackling Economic Disruption and Business Risk’ on Monday.
“We need to change the way we do business. We need to start rejuvenating service providers, retailers and the likes. This (crisis situation) is not going stay for long. And we will pass this test,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is developing a plan to resume some of the commercial activities that are temporarily closed to control the spread of Covid-19. Oman on Monday confirmed 51 new coronavirus cases, taking the total tally to 2,049.
