MUSCAT: Private sector companies and institutions in Oman must take the necessary health and safety procedures to protect the employees following the coronavirus outbreak, Ministry of Manpower said on Wednesday.
In a statement issued by the Ministry said companies should create a work system ensuring the progress of the work while taking measures to protect the workers. “The Ministry of Manpower calls on private sector companies and institutes on the necessity to create a work system ensuring the progress of its work, while taking the necessary health and safety procedures and measures that provide the appropriate environment for its workers,” the statement said.
“Preventive measures must be taken to protect both citizens and residents, Ministry added.

As reported by The Arabian Stories on Monday, most of the companies have already implemented “work from home” system, while many others have reduced the working hours.
Oman on Wednesday confirmed 99 coronavirus cases in the country.
