MUSCAT: Sohar is not the epicenter of coronavirus in Oman, the government said, denying a social media rumour on Thursday.
A social media rumour claimed that medical staff from Muscat were transferred to Sohar after many people in the North Al Batinah governorate tested positive of the virus.
“There is no truth in what is being circulated about the fact that claims the city of Sohar as the epicenter of coronavirus. No medical staff were transferred from Muscat to Sohar,” the Government Communication Centre said.
