MUSCAT: Hindu temples in Muscat and Darsait will be closed from Wednesday, March 18 until further notice, to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the management of both the temples said.
In a statement issued to worshipers, the temple management said the decision was taken based on the recommendation from
Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
“Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs advised to suspend the events and activities in both the temples (Muscat and Darsait) from tomorrow, 18th March 2020 until further notice, to preserve the safety of those in charge and the visitors,” the statement said.

“Further please note that the gates of both the Temples will be closed. We request all the devotees to understand the present situation and cooperate. Also take the precautions to stop the spread of the Covid19 virus,” the statement added.
