Ministry of Education urges expat parents to obtain resident cards for children

Ministry of Education (MOE) has urged expats living in Oman to obtain resident cards for their children.

MUSCAT: As part of the E-Census 2020, Ministry of Education (MOE) has urged expats living in Oman to obtain resident cards for their children regardless of their age.

In a statement issued, MOE said by obtaining resident cards, parents can facilitate children’s registration in the Oman educational portal and avail a host of services. “Obtaining resident cards for your children will facilitate their registration in the Oman Educational Portal to access the benefits of several online services that are available for them,” MOE added.

According to National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), Oman has 1.9 million expat population, which is nearly 42.50 percent of the total population
