Muscat: All hotels, resorts, tourist camping sites and hotel apartments must stop all “social gatherings” such as weddings, events and celebrations, Ministry of Tourism said on Monday.
The decision comes following a directive from the Supreme Committee to deal with coronavirus. On Sunday, the committee banned all social gatherings to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country.
“All hotels establishments with different classifications such as hotels, resorts, camps, and hotel apartments, must stop all social gatherings such as weddings, celebrations and other events in the halls and the interior and exterior spaces of hotel establishments as of Tuesday, March 17 2020,” Ministry said in a statement.
