MUSCAT: The Royal Hospital has denied a rumour of a death due to the coronavirus case.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the hospital confirmed that the patient is in stable condition and urged the public to stop spreading rumours. “The Royal Hospital denies what is being circulated through various social media channels about recording the first death of an infected person with coronavirus at the hospital.”
“We would like to confirm that the patient is receiving treatment at the intensive care and is in a stable condition and is recovering,” the statement added.

Earlier on Saturday, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health has informed that a patient who is diagnosed with coronavirus is in critical stage. Oman has confirmed 20 cases of coronavirus of which nine have recovered.
