MUSCAT: Those who already have valid tourist visas can enter Oman, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have clarified after the Sultanate suspended visas for all countries for one-month starting from March 15, 2020 in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country.
“However, they will be able to enter the country only after fulfilling the requirements of medical tests and examinations to confirm that they are not positive to the coronavirus and also they have not travelled to the five countries on which an embargo is declared,” Ministry said.
The decision to suspend tourist visas comes after a directive from the Supreme Committee appointed by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to tackle the spread of coronavirus.
