MUSCAT : Under the umbrella of the bank’s ‘Alizz Cares’; Alizz Islamic Bank recently hosted a delegation of doctors and medical industry professionals from the Ruwi Medical Centre, Wilayat Mattrah – Ministry of Health to conduct a workshop on the early detection of breast cancer at the bank’s head office in Wilayat Bawshar.

The workshop aimed to introduce the services provided at the pre-marriage clinic and the breast cancer early detection clinic. The workshop included several lectures focusing on the National Registry Program and the Early Detection Clinic Program at the Ministry of Health. Statistics on breast cancer and the role of healthy food in avoiding the disease were also discussed. In addition to finding ways to raise awareness and urge women to perform regular check-ups to aid with the early detection of breast cancer.

Touching upon hosting the delegation from the Ministry of Health, Ms. Lina Al Abdulsalaam, Head of Marketing & Communications at Alizz Islamic Bank said “One of our key values in the bank is for us to be collaborative in our approach. After several discussions with the medical professionals, we realised the importance of supporting such workshops for the wellbeing of society to promote breast cancer awareness and prevention of a disease that continues to impact the lives
of so many women and families across the country not just during the month of October but as an ongoing initiative.”
