MUSCAT: Sky gazers across the country rose early on Thursday morning to witness a ‘ring of fire’ solar eclipse.
The celestial event is extremely rare – occurring in Oman for the first time in more than 150 years. Omanis and residents woke-up early to witness this rare phenomenon.
A solar eclipse happens when the Moon comes between the path of the Sun and the Earth, casting its shadow on the planet.
