Muscat – Titled ‘Economic Gardening: Nurturing & Cultivating Second Stage Companies’, the talk is scheduled to be held on April 30 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The session will feature H.E. Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, along with other panelists and experts, who will share insights and strategies for nurturing growth-oriented businesses beyond the start-up stage.
With his extensive global trade experience, H.E. Khimji will provide valuable insights into scaling Omani businesses and fostering economic growth.
The session will shed light on the transformative birth and growth of economic gardening, emphasizing its role in creating quality, long-term jobs and contributing to Oman Vision 2040 goals. Strategies for nurturing second-stage growth companies, fostering sustainable economic growth, and connecting entrepreneurs with job opportunities will also be explored.
It is pertinent to note that FDI stock in Oman reached US$59.3 billion by the end of Q3 2023 – an increase of 26.5 percent, compared to the same period in 2022.
Joining H.E. Khimji on the panel are Hussain Al Lawati, CEO of Development Bank; Masoud Al Rawahi, Co-founder and Partner of Phaze Ventures; and Jamal Al Asmi, Executive Producer at Reality CG, who will serve as the moderator.
