MUSCAT: One of the world’s toughest obstacle races is coming back to the Sultanate. Alargan Tough Mudder, a five-kilometre obstacle race, is all set to be held on December 7 at Telal Al Qurm.
Organised by Sabco Sports, promotes fun, while also challenging people and embracing a sense of community and teamwork. Participants looking to do something different with their weekend can take part in the Tough Mudder 5K, which is an untimed format.
Speaking to The Arabian Stories, Nic Cartwright, Managing Director of Sabco Sports said: “Following the success of the 2018 Alargan Tough Mudder event,we have designed a challenging, yet rewarding, course on the terrain at Telal al Qurm. Featuring several new (for 2019) obstacles, those who participated in last year’s event will have something fresh to get their teeth into, while newcomers who might be intimidated by tackling a 10-12km Tough Mudder Classic course, have the opportunity to get a taster of what Tough Mudder is all about without the need for a punishing training regime.”
The Tough Mudder 5K course will feature more than 15 mud and water-based obstacles, including fan favourites such as Everest 2.0 and Berlin Walls, as well as brand new for 2019 Black Widow and Spread Eagle. Kids can also get in on the action with Mini Mudder, a 1.6km course for adventurous five to 12-year olds.
Tough Mudder Oman is sponsored by Alargan and Jeep, and supported by Telal al Qurm, Toyo Tires, Ooredoo, Alpha Movement Specialist, Trampo Extreme, OTaxi, Akeed, Clinica Joelle, Al Masafa Trading, Tanuf Water and effect.
