Muscat: As part of integrating transport operations in the country, the Ministry of Transport will activate online platform Naql from today.

Naql will be responsible for issuing operating licences to all types of road transport activities in the Sultanate.

As per information received here, Naql is linked to the vehicle registration systems of Royal Oman Police (ROP) and Invest Easy of Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) to verify details of the individual transport operators or institutions and companies.

The services can be accessed at the Naql website or from the offices of Sanad and Oman Post.

“This will help us to develop an database of all operators (transport) to ensure they are doing a smooth job,” said an official at Ministry of Transport.
