The transactions can take place in just a few easy steps and within minutes. New eFloos users will need to download the app and register themselves by following few simple steps.
Speaking on the upcoming feature, Mr Khalil Al Hedaifi, Chief Retails Banking Officer of Sohar International, stated: “Brining a new concept to transactions, with a faster, smoother and more secure experience, without the need to have a bank account or card, eFloos delivers an innovative e-service that adds value to lifestyle, while providing seamless transactions thus making it an ideal alternative payment option. The mobile wallet reaffirms our commitment to enriching the digital experience of customers by implementing latest innovations to facilitate day-to-day processes; and is in tandem with our promise to continue to cater to their dynamic world.”
The new, innovative feature is aimed at bringing ease of transacting, efficiency and quicker services to business owners, government entities, corporates as well as individuals, who often require remitting money abroad. It will particularly add convenience to Oman’s expat community, a large part of which still depends on exchanges to remit money to their respective countries. The new feature on the eFloos app will enable remittances to 8 countries
