LAHORE: The Islamabad high court on Monday suspended the sentence of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan in a case related to illegal selling of state gift case, Geo News reported. The court also suspended the sentence of Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi. Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were each handed a 14-year sentence in the case in January. The ruling had made the former Pakistan cricket captain ineligible to contest for public office for 10 years while also slapping a fine of $2.8m.
