Muscat – The meeting was headed by H.E Khalid Bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura council, in the presence of their excellencies, members of the Council Office and H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Secretary-General of the Council.
The meeting discussed challenges related to school transportation, plans to privatize the school bus sector in Oman, standards and procedures followed by the Education Ministry in the internal and external movement of teachers, and the importance of referring guards in government schools.
The meeting also discussed the problem of evening schools, addressing the paucity of school buildings, partnership with the private sector in building new schools, and the Ministry’s requirements related to their construction.
In addition, the Council examined various briefing requests submitted to several ministers, including:

• Cable car project in Jabal Akhdar
• Companies’ commitment to paying community contributions
• Life insurance for non-Omani workers
• Omanization of the position of fuel filling station manager
• Establishment of a Job Foresight Centre
• Financial and economic losses of Fisheries Development Company
• Diar Ras Al Hadd project in Ras Al Hadd
  The Council also expressed its desire to establish a center for talented Omanis, highlighting its commitment to nurturing and empowering local talent.
