Muscat: Labour camps in Muscat that houses more than 500 people must have a medical clinic with physician, a proper canteen and clean toilets to endure proper hygiene for workers, according to a new regulation from Muscat Municipality.
In a series of regulations issued by the civic body on Sunday also said, if the number workers at a labour camp exceed 100, they must be provided with a First Aids center with qualified nurses on duty.
“The First Aid center should have at least two staff who are trained in the first aid and handling of the medical devices and delivering medicines to the patients. It shall maintain a register to record the cases of patients who have either suffered occupational injuries or are residents of the camp,” Muscat Municipality said.
