He further added “With an aim to be the leader in the Digital Banking space, Sohar International constantly strives to surpass its customers’ expectations, and continue to invest in the newer technologies, such as these next-generation ATMs and other digital touch points to help us grow even faster.”
The term ‘Recycler’ has been coined around the way the ATM functions – cash deposited into the machine is the same cash dispensed from it. With a continuous cycle of cash flow, customers are benefited since they no longer have to wait for the bank to refill these machines with new currency notes.

This increases the availability of the terminals even during long weekends.
Sohar International is the first bank in Oman to launch these ‘SMART’ machines locally, giving everyone the access to additional features and enhancing customer experience ATM uptime. Although simple, these ATMs handle some important tasks such as accepting and dispensing cash with enhanced security features in comparison to other traditional ATM machines. The machine also allows bulk cash transactions in the tune of 200 – 300 notes in a single transaction.
