MUSCAT: The proposed integrated Sports City will be built in wilayat Musannah, His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, has confirmed on Monday.
Speaking at the ‘Together We Progress’ forum, Sayyid Theyazin said the tender has been awarded to a British company to build the Sports City project. “We have been communicating with them for many months, as they presented several models; and when the final form is reached, we will present all these details,” Sayyid Theyazin said.
The Sports City is being established following a directive from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. The project is expected to attract and host regional and global tournaments and competitions.
