Muscat – In the fiercely contested 5 km marathon, Abdullah Al-Quraini emerged victorious, claiming the first-place title. Salem Al-Rashidi secured a commendable second place, while Nasr Al-Naabi clinched the third spot.

The 3 km competition witnessed Wissam Al Mahrami seizing the top spot, followed closely by Shaheen Ghouri in second place, and Zaid Al Dhamri securing the third position, demonstrating their endurance and determination.

The 2-kilometer competition saw Turki Al-Sudairi claiming the first-place honor, with Aws Al-Fahdi closely trailing in second place, and Malik Ahmed displaying outstanding performance to secure the third spot.

Even the youngest participants showcased their prowess in the 1-kilometer competition for children, where Tariq Birakader clinched the first spot, Mishari Al-Balushi secured the second place, and Osama Al-Bahri displayed remarkable talent to secure the third position.

Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Chairman of Sbaco Group, expressed pride in the marathon’s success as a sporting phenomenon for community participation in Oman. He acknowledged the collaborative efforts of various entities, including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the Omani Athletics Federation, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Oman Sail, Al Mouj Muscat, and commercial sponsors.

The Al Mouj Muscat Marathon, accredited as one of the region’s prominent sporting events by the International Association of Marathon and Distance Races in 2018, continues to unite communities through the spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition.
