More than 260 trees will be planted, while over 290 streetlights will be installed or replaced.
The development includes a two-kilometre pedestrian walkway, dedicated running and cycling tracks, and a pedestrian bridge connecting the two banks of the wadi.
Seating areas, kiosks, public restrooms and a children’s play area will also be provided, adding recreational facilities to one of Muscat’s established commercial districts.
The project is being implemented by the municipality’s Directorate General of Projects and Afforestation as part of wider efforts to upgrade urban infrastructure and public amenities across the governorate.
It supports Oman Vision 2040 objectives to improve quality of life and develop sustainable cities.
