MUSCAT : Oman Cricket Academy U19 Red produced a remarkable batting performance to register the highest team total in an U19 match in Oman’s domestic cricket, in a high-scoring encounter highlighted by a sensational double-century from Shravan Kurup.
OCA U19 Red posted 511/5 in 50 overs, setting a new benchmark in Oman’s U19 domestic cricket. At the heart of the record-breaking innings was Shravan Kurup, who struck a magnificent 230 in 143 balls, providing the foundation for his team to build an imposing total.
The match witnessed an outstanding display of aggressive and consistent batting from the OCA U19 Red lineup, with Ojjus Pachisia (104 of 37), Saumya Sampat (58 of 35) and Aryan Joshi (54 of 72) also making significant contributions as the side maintained the scoring rate throughout their innings.

Kurup’s double-century was the defining individual performance of the encounter. His innings included 20 fours and 11 sixes, combined power and composure and helped OCA U19 Red establish a commanding position in the match.
With the bat, OCA U19 Red dominated proceedings from the outset, eventually totaling of 511 runs entering the record books as the highest U19 total in Oman’s domestic cricket.
IAS CA U19, chasing the formidable target, responded with paltry 125 all out within 26 overs, with Razzaq Muhammad showing some resistance. However, OCA U19 Red’s bowling attack kept control of the contest to secure a 386 run victory courtesy of Arshad Farshad’s 4 wicket haul including a hattrick in the first over and Kanishq Basu’s 3-fer.
The result caps a memorable match for OCA U19 Red and reflects the growing talent within Oman Cricket’s youth structure.
