MUSCAT : In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Oman’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for the measures being taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security, stability and sovereignty.

Oman stressed that the sanctity of holy sites must be fully respected and that the safety and security of pilgrims must remain protected.

The Sultanate also called on countries in the region to strengthen cooperation and solidarity in addressing outstanding issues, whether bilaterally, regionally or through multilateral frameworks.

It said such cooperation should seek solutions that safeguard the rights of all countries and peoples to security, stability and a safe and dignified life.
