MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Wednesday inaugurated the new headquarters of Oman’s Internal Security Service in the Governorate of Dhofar, the Oman News Agency reported.
Upon His Majesty’s arrival, he was received by the Head of the Internal Security Service and a number of senior officers.His Majesty unveiled a commemorative plaque marking the official opening of the headquarters before touring the new facility and reviewing its capabilities and infrastructure.
During the visit, His Majesty was briefed on key operations and national responsibilities carried out by the Internal Security Service to safeguard security and stability across the Sultanate.

His Majesty praised the efforts made to modernise and develop the service and keep pace with emerging requirements across different areas of security work.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Majesty posed for commemorative photographs with members of the Internal Security Service before departing the headquarters.
