Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman has urged individuals holding expired banknotes from previous issues to exchange them before the end of business hours on Monday, September 21, 2026.
According to the CBO, the affected banknotes, those issued prior to the Sixth Series of 2020, can be replaced through all banks operating in the Sultanate of Oman until the deadline.
The Central Bank stressed that no claims relating to the replacement of these expired banknotes will be accepted after September 21, 2026.
