MUSCAT : Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) has marked a significant achievement in occupational health, safety and environmental excellence by recording 81 million safe manhours without a lost-time injury (LTI). This milestone reflects OETC’s unwavering commitment to placing the safety and wellbeing of its employees, contractors and all stakeholders at the forefront of its operations, while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across its projects and worksites.

The achievement demonstrates the strong safety culture embedded across OETC and reflects the shared responsibility embraced by its employees, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders. It is supported by the effective integration of Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE) management systems, with a comprehensive approach covering risk identification and control, safe work planning, continuous supervision, field monitoring, inspections, audits and awareness campaigns.

Over the years, OETC has adopted a proactive approach to addressing occupational health, safety and environmental challenges by learning from experience, strengthening best practices, and adopting innovative solutions and modern technologies. This was further reinforced through ongoing inspections, audits and field monitoring across OETC’s operations.

We will continue to enhance this culture and advance our QHSSE practices in line with the highest internationally recognized standards, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all our employees and stakeholders.”
