MUSCAT: Organised by Oman Film Society (OFS), the festival reflects an ongoing strategic partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and Dhofar Municipality.
The forthcoming edition of the festival will feature 32 films from 16 countries: Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Palestine, Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Iran, South Korea, England, Spain, Russia and Portugal.
Dhofar International Film Festival seeks to enhance the presence of the Sultanate of Oman in the Arab and international arena, support the film industry and promote national talents.
The second edition of the festival will see the felicitation of artistic and media persons from Oman and the Arab world, including Haya Abdul Salam from the State of Kuwait and Bushra Ahmed Razza from Egypt, in addition to Omani artistic and media persons Hilal bin Abdullah Al Araimi, Abdullah Al Sabbah, Salah bin Suleiman Beit Obaid and Salim Al Amri.
