HH Sayyid Bilarab urges youth to pursue excellence as Muscat Governorate honours top school graduates

MUSCAT: His Highness described their ambition as “a source of national trust” while honouring outstanding General Education Diploma graduates in Muscat Governorate.
Presiding over the event, His Highness Sayyid Bilarab congratulated the high-achieving students, saying their academic success reflected perseverance, hard work and dedication, while reminding them that excellence also brings greater responsibility towards themselves, their families, society and the nation.
“What our students have achieved is not merely academic success; it is a testament to sincere determination and boundless ambition,” he said, adding: “Success does not end here. It bestows upon its recipient a greater responsibility.”
Addressing the graduates, His Highness Sayyid Bilarab encouraged them to carry the banner of knowledge with pride and move confidently towards the future, while remaining firmly rooted in Oman’s values and traditions.
“As you turn a new page in your lives, be like a beacon, overflowing with the light of knowledge, science and good morals. Remain rooted in your authentic Omani values, steadfast as the mountains of Oman in a rapidly changing world,” His Highness said.
He pointed out that education remains central to the country’s development, crediting the vision of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik for prioritising human development and investment in education as the foundation for building the nation.
His Highness Sayyid Bilarab urged the graduates to serve as ambassadors for Oman wherever their careers and studies take them, stressing that individual aspirations collectively shape the country’s future.
“Each of you carries a dream, and the convergence of these dreams is what shapes the future of the nation. Be the best representatives of Oman wherever life’s paths take you,” he said.
He also paid tribute to parents, teachers and everyone involved in supporting the students’ educational journey, acknowledging their role in nurturing a love of learning and helping the graduates reach this milestone.
The ceremony, held in Muscat Governorate, celebrated outstanding students who excelled in the General Education Diploma examinations, recognising their achievements and encouraging them to continue contributing to Oman’s development through education, innovation and service to the nation.
