MUSCAT: Transom Oman announced the return of Al Harthy’s body to her homeland, marking an emotional homecoming for one of the country’s most celebrated adventurers. The accomplished mountaineer died while pursuing her passion for high-altitude climbing after an avalanche struck the slopes of Broad Peak.

Al Harthy made history by becoming the first Omani woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest, inspiring a generation of aspiring adventurers and showcasing Oman’s growing presence in international mountaineering.
