MUSCAT– Oman’s natural gas production, including domestic output and imports, rose 6.7% in the first half of 2026 to 29.54 billion cubic metres, up from 27.69 billion cubic metres in the same period a year earlier, data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed.
Associated gas production increased 5.6% to 6.60 billion cubic metres, while non-associated gas production, including imports, rose 7% to 22.94 billion cubic metres.
On the demand side, natural gas consumption by industrial projects climbed 7.5% to 14.86 billion cubic metres, while use by power generation plants surged 13.7% to 8.28 billion cubic metres.

Gas consumption in oil fields, including losses and shrinkage, fell 2.3% to 6.31 billion cubic metres, while consumption in industrial areas, including Oman LNG facilities, dropped 29.6% to 95.8 million cubic metres, the NCSI data showed.
