MUSCAT: Bidiyah recorded the highest temperature in Oman over the past 24 hours, reaching a scorching 47.2°C, according to the latest weather data released by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Saturday.
Several other inland areas also experienced intense heat, with Hamra Al Duru and Qurayyat recording 47.0°C, followed by Al Sunainah at 46.9°C. Temperatures of 46.7°C were recorded in Dibba, Muqshin, and Al Kamil wa Al Wafi, while Al Qabil reached 46.6°C.
Meanwhile, Barka registered 46.4°C, Liwa recorded 46.2°C, and Bidbid reached 46.1°C, highlighting the widespread heat affecting much of the country.

The CAA said the figures were recorded by its network of meteorological stations across the Sultanate and reflect the highest temperatures observed during the past 24-hour period.
