MUSCAT – The decision applies to all shark species and their derivatives, whether listed under the appendices of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) or not included in the convention’s appendices.
The authority said the measure is part of efforts to reorganise procedures related to shark species and ensure compliance with Oman’s national legislation and the provisions of the CITES Convention.
