MUSCAT – The trend appears to have started with an accidental post by the brand Sahaba Abaya, when a child’s photo was uploaded to the brand’s Instagram account with the random caption “مسيييييخزذذتمر. ي” after the owner’s child mistakenly posted from the account.
Instead of removing or ignoring the unusual post, other brands turned the incident into a creative social media format. Saudi-based Muvi Cinemas was among the early brands to recreate the style, and others across the GCC soon followed.
The result was a viral marketing trend built around mystery, nostalgia and humour, with several local brands sharing child-related images and playful posts designed to spark curiosity and engagement among followers.
