MUSCAT – The assessment found the college no longer met requirements in governance and management, student learning by coursework programmes, and staff and staff support services.
The authority said the institutional accreditation status review was conducted in September 2025, with assessments covering governance and management, student learning by coursework programmes, staff and staff support services, staff research and consultancy, and industry and community engagement.
The review outcome determined that Mazoon College’s accreditation should be revoked after the institution failed to meet the required standards in three assessed areas.
The college will be required to undergo a new institutional standards assessment activity after one year, according to the authority.
The accreditation revocation decision was upheld following an appeal submitted in December 2025.
