MUSCAT: The platform was unveiled during the opening of the real estate exhibition accompanying the Dhofar Khareef Season 2026, under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar.

The new service enables citizens to create accounts, submit personal, professional and housing details, select financing preferences and upload required documents online. Applicants will also receive notifications throughout the process until they reach their turn to complete financing procedures.

The bank said the launch marks the beginning of processing housing finance requests for April and May, with 1,252 applications distributed across its branches and a total financing value exceeding RO63 million.

The digital waiting list is part of the bank’s ‘Book Your Turn’ campaign, aimed at promoting digital government services and providing customers with a faster, more transparent and convenient experience without the need to visit branches during the initial application stages.

Musa bin Masoud Al Jadidi, CEO of Oman Housing Bank, said the platform represents a major step in the bank’s digital transformation journey and supports the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by developing smarter and more efficient services.

He added that the initiative is designed to redesign the customer journey, reduce waiting periods and accelerate access to housing finance, while supporting national urban development goals through innovative digital solutions.

The bank said it will continue investing in advanced digital services, with plans to introduce additional smart solutions aimed at making housing finance procedures easier and faster for citizens.
