MUSCAT : Inspectors uncovered 1,365 expired personal care and household items during routine field inspections conducted in the Wilayat of Nizwa. The operation was part of the Consumer Protection Authority’s (CPA) ongoing market monitoring efforts aimed at verifying product safety and protecting consumer rights across the region.
All confiscated items have been impounded by authorities, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the violating establishment in accordance with consumer protection regulations.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining rigorous oversight in the marketplace, urging commercial entities to adhere strictly to safety standards and expiration guidelines. Consumers are also encouraged to check product details prior to purchase and report any violations to the authority’s dedicated hotlines.
