Muscat: Shaandar, who serves as Director Welfare Interim Committee of the Pakistan Social Club in the Sultanate of Oman, will act as a liaison between the OPF Chairman and the Pakistani community in Oman.
The appointment was formalised through an official notification issued by Muhammad Mustafa Haider, Director General (Welfare), Overseas Pakistanis Foundation.
According to the appointment letter, Shaandar’s role will include facilitating communication, coordinating community matters and assisting in the prompt resolution of issues faced by overseas Pakistanis living in Oman.

The appointment recognises his years of dedicated community service and humanitarian initiatives. Shaandar has been actively involved in supporting distressed Pakistanis in Oman, including facilitating prisoner repatriation, assisting vulnerable workers, organising blood donation campaigns, leading Ramadan food distribution drives and providing emergency welfare support to members of the community.
His grassroots experience and close engagement with the Pakistani diaspora are expected to strengthen coordination between OPF and overseas Pakistanis in Oman, while improving the delivery of welfare services.
Speaking after the appointment, Shaandar expressed gratitude to the Chairman and leadership of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation for placing their trust in him. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the Pakistani community in Oman with sincerity, dedication and impartiality, while working to further strengthen ties between overseas Pakistanis and the Government of Pakistan.
Shaandar is also expected to form an Advisory Council in Oman, comprising selected members of the Pakistani diaspora representing different community segments. Their names will be proposed to the OPF Board for approval.
The appointment is expected to enhance collaboration between the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation and the Pakistani community in Oman, ensuring that their concerns are represented and addressed through an organised, responsive and community-focused mechanism.
